I find myself in England for a few weeks on family business, so this and the next post are of English diptera, rather than my usual Mediterranean creatures. I think this is a Tachinidae, would I be right?

Thanks in advance, Sarah

Thanks Kahis, at last I've got one right at least as far as the family is concerned. I'm learning slowly! Sarah

Hi Kahis,

You are not totally mistaken at all, but quite right.
