Is this a Platypezidae again? 22. October 2025, 3-4mm. Our garden in Rheinbach near Bonn/Germany, 210m above sea level, huge forest nearby. To me it looks similar to Platypeza fasciata but with yellow legs. The fly was hooked to a leaf of a runner bean, I "rescued" it and after 30sec. it was able to fly away again (from my hand). Thank you for your help, Jörg

The wings are not fully visible (esp. cell cup and vein A1+CuA2), but I think it's likely a female Protoclythia modesta.
Greetings, Eric

Thank you Eric - I thought the same but for the color of the legs. But this might not be a significant difference. Just in case I add my best (least bad) photo of the a wing. Thank you so much for your effort, Jörg

Hi Jörg, your image doesn't show the interesting zone around the posterior cubital cell (cup) but the dark triangle on tergite 5 is clearly visible.
Greetings, Eric
