Hello,

I had not seen that species for years, and I only know it from late spring/early summer. Is this nevertheless Zophomyia temula? About 8-9 mm, at a large wind break clearing in forest (northwest Germany).

Yes, zophomyia is not seen in august. Well noted.
This seems to be a dark female Thelaira.
