Yes, I think the goals are different. EOL give species level description of every species. TOL - understanding relationships between life forms.
Kahis 14 May 2007 14:43:32
proctoss: not all all. Unline the EoL, the ToL doesn't go to species level in most lifeforms.
proctoss 12 May 2007 15:52:35
Interestingly enough, but it is a direct competitor of the existing project Tree of Life http://tolweb.org/tree/
Xespok 11 May 2007 09:19:39
Yes, I think the EOL is a good and necessary project. Let us see the details first.

Coding the restrictions per user is coming along quite nicely. Hope to finish it tomorrow. Smile
Paul Beuk 10 May 2007 08:05:25
Hehe: Time, to do things. If I did not have to start coding all the time to keep you lot under control. Pfft

This site has grown alot image-wise! How can it grow info-wise? It is harder, but ... More articles? Wiki?
Xespok 09 May 2007 20:34:26
Maybe another rule should be implemented, whereby one user can only post 1 non-diptera thread a week.
Paul Beuk 09 May 2007 19:19:59
Actually, the five holds. The first day the 'backdoor' was used. The last 24 hours there were only 5. A pity that the same persons always claim those. Sad
ChrisR 09 May 2007 19:18:07
I think 'Other insects' is just 'Other people' ... I have waited 4 days to post a photo and I still can't Sad

It seems the limiter on off-topics subjects is not working (???)
crex 09 May 2007 16:37:03
Suggestion. Max 3 new threads per user and 24h Pfft
Paul Beuk 09 May 2007 11:33:52
Well, I closed one obvious backdoor. Let's see if there are more. Smile
Paul Beuk 08 May 2007 21:43:44
I think there is a backdoor, that I need to close. awkward
Kahis 08 May 2007 17:50:11
Judging by the main page, the new limiter may still have some problems (6 non-diptera topics in 2 hours)
Paul Beuk 08 May 2007 11:50:10
New limiter for Forum installed. Plz report any suspected errors a.s.a.p. Smile
Paul Beuk 07 May 2007 22:03:28
If you mean the limiter for non-Diptera threads. The present construction is buggy. Hope to put a brand new system in tomorrow. Grin
