Dear Forum,

On the fourth of October I saw these kind of Ichneumon's sitting on white flowers.
They are colorfull athletic wasps with giant back-legs and backbody.
Size ~ 15 - 20 mm
Are these wasps Ichneumon?, and what kind?

best regards, Robert Heemskerk

That's funny, I came to almost the same conclusion after visiting a Korean Ichneumon-site.
But you won! I was too late..

There I found 'Ichneumon sarcitorius (chosensis?)', which has many similar characteristics.
It is a pitty that I did not make a picture from the front and with the wings spread out!
But I am satisfied!, It is a little bit 'on soft ice' but it is close to the fire I think..
Thanks a lot,
Best regards, Robert Heemskerk
