An attractive Asilid species from Bulgaria

As I wrote in my postings yesterday I recently returned from co-leading my annual tour to Bulgaria where as indicated previously in these mailings my main role is as a Botanist, though I can never resist looking for interesting insects! some fly families always seem particularly in evidence there among them Tabanids, Asilids and Bombylids. This Asilid is I think rather attactive and hopefully distinctive enough that someone might perhaps be able to suggest an identification. It was caught at Roupite hot springs on 21 July 2015.
