Hello,

I observed, a few days ago, a tiny (3-5mm) Hymenoptera which was feeding on a cat's faeces with this Lucilia :

Can somebody orient me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Paul,

Thanks for the pointer. I already had Figitids with the same triangular shape on the thorax.

I was rather surprised to see one Hymenopter feeding on faeces.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
