Can anyone help with the id of this fly. I guess it belongs to Muscidae family, but I'm not sure.

It was photographed in Girona, Catalonia last May

Thanks in advance

Dear Aleix,

This is not a member of Muscidae, but of Sarcophagidae.
Only very few Muscidae have a well-localized bend in vein M in the wing.
The 'traffic-light'-red eyes points to Sarcophagidae.
It's a member of the tribe Sarcophagini, only to be identified by the male genitalia. So this is the end of the line ... (JJ. Cale)

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
