A. fulvipes has a creamy white band along the sides of the abdomen, A. aucupariae does not. Both species are widespread and common in April-May. It is a species present in all France and whose larva lives on various species of Galium (Galium aparine, G. mollugo,?) There is a species very close Aglaostigma fulvipes (Scopoli, 1763) which presents a yellow longitudinal band of each with dimensions of the abdomen.
