Hi

Very unusual to see an action between spider and hemipteran --
This is Pisaura mirabilis spider and the prey is a hemipteran, but I don?t know which one... Could you provide genus level?

Taken today, with 20 ?C temperature, in V?lega (35 km south of Oporto).

Hello, Jorge!

I have the vague idea, it could be a Scutelleridae. Not sure and no species occuring here in Germany... ;-)
Best regards,
Jürgen

Hi, Jorge
I'm pretty certain that it is Eysarcoris aeneus, one of the Pentatomidae family.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
