This fly was really small - perhaps 5 mm, if not less - but I have a hunch it is a tachnid, maybe Pandelleia sp. Any enlightened comment ?? Marche-les-dames, Belgium, in damp woods, August 24. Looks like Subclytia rotundiventris to me - we have had another sighting recently on the forum here. ![]() Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |
