Hello, dipterists I'm trying to identify nematocera larvae found ex Polyporus squamosus, today june 11th 2026 in Wallonia (Belgium) I think Brachypeza radiata as I'm sure that the fungus is Polyporus squamosus  How can I make the difference between Brachypeza radiata and other mycetophilinae larvae ? Hello Around 6 PM, the larva leaves the Polyporus squamosus fungus and catapults itself into the soil to bury itself and begin pupation. Typical behavior of Mycetophila cingulum.
