Kerkinitis mountain Northern Greece, mixed BeachxAbies forest at 1150 ms, Malaise trap 3rd to 9th November 2008.

I have little hope of an ID here but I like to share the little pleasures of my life.

Please check Callomyia (R1 with spines dorsally, t2 with 2 apical spurs, silvery stripes and spots on thorax); otherwise I'd vote for Agathomyia unicolor.

Dear Black,
My statement of Callomyia was based entirely on the image of the wing venation in Oosterbroek so you were right to challange me.

You are undoubtedly correct as there are no spines on any of the wing veins, only one apical spur on T2 and no silver spots or lines on the thorax, just something like 16 DC or ACROS bristles in 3 lines.

Which makes it another new record for Greece.Grin

Thanks Gordon

Probably Agathomyia, I'm not sure about the exact species. Better check the specimen.
