Paul,

On the new forum, after logging, when I go to the forum main page, the little icons don't display in yellow to show where there are new messages since the last visit.

It happens that the feature works again after displaying one of the sub-fora. I don't have yet understood the logic of this behaviour.

I think I got it. The forum link, on the top of the page (between Web links and Search, is http://diptera.info/forum/. When you are in the forum, the link in the upper left corner is a little different : http://diptera.info/forum/index.php. It could be the explanation.

And additionally: (I think it is) 10 minutes after logging in, all 'new' items will show as 'old'. The upcoming verison of PHP-Fusion may actually have a link 'New Posts', showing all messages after last log-in.
