Hi, Anthomyiidae observed yesterday at home (near the town of Sens, Yonne department, France). This male of Leucophora is it a L. obtusa ? All my thanks for a reply. ![]() Jean-Michel GAREL : France : Brannay : 89150 : 28/03/2026 Altitude : 165 m - Taille : 9 environ Réf. : 371743 ![]() Jean-Michel GAREL : France : Brannay : 89150 : 28/03/2026 Altitude : 165 m - Taille : 9 environ Réf. : 371744 ![]() Jean-Michel GAREL : France : Brannay : 89150 : 28/03/2026 Altitude : 166 m - Taille : 9 environ Réf. : 371746 |

I think L. obtusa is correct. Your 2nd image shows the "lower margin of gena with several rows of upwardly directed setae" as well as the "lateral margins of scutellum with several rows of setulae" (Ackland, Bentley, Brighton (2017): The British Anthomyiidae) Greetings, Eric |
