The Oosterbroek key leads me to Heleomyzidae (step 91) but somehow this doesn't feel right.
I have a male and female, that last one with a long ovipositor.

Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Pieter

Not Heleomyzidae. Look, please, for the tibial chaetotaxy (no preapical setae present) and ovipositor (needle-like structure). Maybe Ulididae or any other Tephritoid-like fly...

A Tetanops sp. (Ulidiidae Otitinae), quite typical for sandy dunes.
Are you going to sequence it or can you sacrifice it to me for a taxonomic revision?

Dear Andrzej, Dear Valery, thank you for your comments!
I just started picking up flies again after a few years hiatus and I clearly have to get used to some obvious steps in the key again...
@Valery: I will mail you about it somewhere early next week.

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
