I would like to know its identity, if possible. I have already found several individuals of the species Campsicnemus scambus in the same area, but this male is different : I was thinking mainly of the species Campsicnemus curvipes, could it be this species ? In fact, the insect had initially presented itself to me head-on, as shown in photos 2 and 3. I was surprised and intrigued by its behaviour : it repeatedly showed me alternately its intense green eyes and the bright blue back of its head. I wondered if it was just a coincidence or if it was a known behaviour with a specific meaning. Thank you in advance for your opinions (please excusse the poor quality of the photos). Dominique |
