Found on a dry meadow in Lower Austria, early September. Initially wasn't sure whether this wasn't just a catkin or other plant material in an upright position, but then it started moving :-) Any idea? ![]() ![]()

Passing resemblance to Sterrhopterix fusca but you should wait for an expert opinion. James |

Thanks a lot, that species had been found by on another tree in that area, so I am quite positive your ID suggestion is right
