Hi,

today I took a few pictures of a smaller fly with an elongated shape and cute red/orange eyesSmile. I am pretty sure its a Sciomyzidae, but there seems to be more than one candidate. Nevertheless, my guess would be, that its a female of Limnia unguicornis, because that seems a good match with the gallery pictures. Is it possible to confirm or reject that from the pictures?

Germany, Southern Bavaria, Munich (-West), shrub leaf, 07.06.2024, app. 6 mm
