Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Pinneberg-Waldenau near Hamburg, way over a street bridge to the mixed forest Klövensteen (pine trees, beeches, birches and other), at the railing of the bridge. Nearby a little pond; length from antenna to wings end: 4,5 mm. This fly looks to me similar to Parydra (Parydra) coarctata (s. https://diptera.i...oto_id=772); Date: 13th of March 2024, Outsidephotos: kuv (only shots from this angle)
Please help to get the ID.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
