Hi there,

I have photographed this Asilidae on the island of Crete (Greece), on the southern coast around Elafonisi.

I am no expert and I would like to know how far we could go in the identification of this individual? I am suspecting the genus Machimus sp. but not sure at all.

Any expert eye in the forum?

Thanks in advance
