Ukraine, Rivne region, on May 15.
I assume that the photo shows a male Bibio, but the definition of the species is more difficult, but in the gallery, not all species have a pronounced dark spot on the wings.
I noticed two similar ones: Bibio ferruginatus and Bibio reticulatus ...

Right. Strong posterior veins strongly suggests reticulatus.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
