On the 17th July 2021, after a few unusually hot humid days, I found this 5mm fly attached to our inside kitchen window with the spray of Entomopathogenic fungal spoor. Today, a month later it is still there. It must have extruded pretty strong, self-adhesive, fly glue!

Is it possible to ID the fly?

Flensburg, N.Germany

Thank You
Ray

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
