Dear Forum!
I photographed these flies between 18-05-2021 and 30-05-2021, about 2km east of Profitis Ilias. I think they are Choerades loewi. (I had a hard time with this name, because Engel's paper refers to it as Laphria dimidiata, presently a valid name for an Indian spesies Cool )

Greetings,
Henrik

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
