Hello,

I photographed this fly in the Torre del Cerrano Marine Protected Area (TE), Italy on March 28th 2021. I'm not even so sure of the family it might belong to (maybe Muscidae?). Is it possible to identify its genus or species just from this dorsal shot?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Hi,

I think, Anthomyiidae.
Best regards,
Jürgen

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
