 This fly is among one of the most beautiful I've seen among the Nematocera.

And finally we are seeing one specimen belonging to the BLEPHARICERIDAE family. Grin I think this is a Liponeura sp. species. It is nice to see the wing without alula showing a striking anal lobe!! Smile

See that M2 doesn't connect to the M1 vein. Cool Very nice to see very tiny transversal veins in the wing!! ShockCool

 There are many species of Liponeura:

In Neartic I think Blepharicera and Agathon are common genus. Liponeura only in Palearctic? Not sure.
