Hello,

I photographed this fly near Montereale (AQ), Italy, 1100m asl on April 7th 2019. Unfortunately it flew away before I could take other photos, but is it possible to identify it from this photo?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
