Hello,
In the south of France, June 23, 2019.
I hope there are enough visible criteria to make an identification! I didn't note any size but it is a rather large Asilidae.
I think it's a male and on a second post I put a picture of a female that may be of the same species.
Thank you for your help

Thank you very much, Christoophe,
Could the female in my next post be of the same species? (Asilidae 2 of July 24, 2019)
The general shape, the colour distribution on the legs, the white and black hairs on the head and thorax seem to be identical.
