Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Neu-Lankau near Mölln, edge of a way across meadows right by the Elbe-Lübeck-Canel, laying eggs at a leaf of Rumex sp., Outsidephotos kuv, 26th of May 2018. Yes…I agree, it can be very frustrating, but I am very serious in giving a proper ID. When I am honest, 95% of the female Anthomyiidae can’t be identified from photos. In males also..but then there is a possibility to look at the genitalia and males have more typical characteristics, so when you are lucky….we can see them Johanna |
