Dear Forum,
I photographed and collected several specimens of this Asilidae on 04_07_2016, in a dry meadow with sandy soil near Bácsborista, about 35km west of Szeged, southern Hungary. They are relatively small, all 5 specimens I have are between 12 and 13mm. I am fairly sure it is a Neoepitriptus sp., and it is not N. setulosus, partly for its size, partly for the dark color of legs. They are quite similar to pictures of N. inconstans, but it seems to me that that sp. is also larger, and has somewhat more orange/red on the legs. Finally, the most likely candidate would be Neoepitriptus ninae Lehr 1992, because it is known from Slovakia, according to FE, but I was unable to find anything of that sp. Can anyone help with these flies?
If anyone is interested, I am ready to mail some of the specimens to her/him. Alternatively, if someone has access to Lehr’s original description, I would greatly appreciate a PDF of it.
Thanks for any help in advance!
Greetings,
Henrik

I took some pics of a pinned male and its genitalia, but I am unable to upload them, though they are smaller than 200kb, there are no spaces in the filenames, and they are in a JPG format. Can someone give me an advice?
