Afternoon,
I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any fairly recent papers or keys dealing with European/British Sphaeroceridae of the genus Spelobia? I'd much appreciate any info if it is out there.

Many Thanks,
Dave

Rohaček, J. 1983e. A monograph and re-classification of the previous genus Limosina Macquart (Diptera, Sphaeroceridae) of Europe. Part II. Beitrage zur Entomologie, Berlin 33: 3-195.
This may be the most recent account of the European fauna, according to http://www.uoguel...atalog.htm. Note that the link to the 2011 update doesn't work. It can be accessed at http://www.aemnp...._1_217.pdf

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
