Hello, these pictures were taken on June 9 last year in our backyard near a small pond. The fly is about 6 mm long. I think it should be Conisternum decipiens. Can this be confirmed? I don't think so. The leg chaetotaxy and colouration look more like Scathophaga stercoraria to me
