First Brachycera of the year, near urban wetlands in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. People scared it away before I could get closer. (Edit: Actually my second Brachycera sighting. On my planet this would be Calliphora vicina. No idea if there are similar species around in the Nearctic. Theo |

I don't see a better alternative than Calliphora vicina. They are very common at elevations over 500 meters, less common at sea level. |
