Faasch, H. (2015). Identification guide to aquatic and semi-aquatic Diptera larvae. DGL-Arbeitshilfe 1-2015. 179pp (german) + 179pp (english).

This new book presents larval keys to families and gives diagnosis of many genera with numerous and excellent drawings of many representatives. It is written in both English and German. The author emphasizes the German fauna but I think this book can be used for the western Palaearctic.
