Thecophora 'pusilla' (Conopidae).

I've put pusilla in quotes as this species was recently split into two and the old name was found to be a junior synonym of Thecophora cinerascens. I don't remember the name of the other species which was grouped under the name pusilla. Both species may occur in France.

Jere,

Thanks for the additional information. I'll try to find out.

It was rather easy to find:
http://www.schweb...a_auct.pdf

Two species previously overlooked as Thecophora pusilla auct. are here identified as Thecophora cinerascens MEIGEN, 1804 and Thecophora bimaculata (PREYSSLER, 1791) [status rev.].

This would be Th. cinerascens.
