it could be Nemestrinus sp. ??
So far I know these are very important to control grassophers populations! Grasshopers beware! CoolGrin

>> Nemestrinidae - devoid of bristles, very large number in closed cells in wing, very long proboscis, eyes non holoptic and so on. Smile

AND, according to search in diptera.info your fly it is the very first to show this family!! It would be great to know until species level! This must appear in diptera gallery! Grin

This is NOT Fallenia sp. neither Trichopsidea sp. due wing venation Smile Very probably to be Nemestrinus sp. Smile

There are more 2 genus for Spain: Neorhynchocephalus and Stenopteromyia ... but I don?t have clues about these genus. Smile For probability this could be Nemestrinus sp.

Precisely.. it is like a mixture. Smile A chimaera. Grin

but I'm curious about more data given by jokin. Smile More details about the type of habitat (if near/far streamers, in woodland, or... )

This is really a Nemestrinus perezii!!!

It seems that jokin doesn't visit anymore the DI... but is there any hypothesis to put this photo in the gallery? It should be a rule that all photos that appear in the forum automatically would belong to the DIPTERA.INFO. And in this way, we could put this photo in the gallery without any problems...
