location: on the island of Crete, in Greece date: May 20th, 2007 size: 30-40mm habitat: around countryside house, near a pond that attracts a lot of insects I think it's the same species as another one I posted a while ago in this forum, identified as Machimus sp. I post again because this time it's a much better photo. Is it Machimus? Is it suitable for the gallery?  Click here for a larger size photo (1024x683px).
