Hello!

These 2.5 mm flies were numerous yesterday in our garden (Ostwestfalen/Germany) at the sugary fruit-moth bait (by far more flies at the bait than lepidoptera ;-)). Is it safe to say, that they are Thaumatomyia notata or is it something other? Thanks!

Yes, it looks very similar, thanks! But as a non-expert I was not sure, if there are - as in most cases... - other, similar looking species (for me, not the experts ;-)).
