Hi,

I do not immediately recognizes the family or the gender of this one.
It was taken in Louvain-la-neuve, Belgium (2012/06/16). The wings are quite long! It looks like Hemyda...

It's a very unusual-looking phasiine tachinid called Hemyda obscuripennis Smile Nice find.
Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London.

... In mainland Europe Wink we never get obscuripennis here in the UK and vittata is very rare indeed Sad
