I'm working on applying the Ag.Canada key - so far I think I have: 1 wing well developed 2 wing broad 3 antenna consolidated 29 lunule present 56 thorax not flattened 58 vibrissa present, greater ampulla?? I think you should end up in Anthomyiidae. This looks like a female Phorbia sp. to me |

Many thanks, Stephen - I'll try the key around that point. This is a photo of another specimen that keyed out to Anthomyiidae using another key: might it be the same genus?

Not the same genus, but it is Anthomyiidae, |

On the second one I get: 1 A1 goes to margin 3 C with only fine hairs, no scutellum dorsal hairs 4 range: Fucellia - can't be; revert to 5 5 katepisternal bristles not in triangle; wing not darkened 6 scutellum without dorsal hairs; 7 hind tibia without stout apical bristle 8 Antenna and face long 9 parafacial narrow: Pseudochirosia essentially no info I can find online other than a mention of P.albipennis any comments?
