Yes, if you send it to someone who can key it out and compare the genitalia with Michael Ackland's drawings. Joke may be more reliable than me (in many ways Grin), or you could ask Ackland himself if he's not too busy. If all else fails, I'll have a go.

Ok, that seams to be a good idea, but sorry, who is Joke?

I have it dry, is it enough for genitalia? (I should easily find an other specimen from my garden to have it in alcohol)
And i could send a specimen to both of you if you what to have a go Smile

You will find Joke (javanerkelens) in the members list here: http://www.dipter...lookup=846 - she has done some serious studying in Anthomyiidae. For me it is only a game Cool But if you have more male specimens I would be happy to check one out. If you send a Personal Message I will reply with my address.

Stephen always things to less about his expertise about Anthomyiidae, so I think he can perfect ID those species!Smile

So would you be interested by this specimen Joke or you want Stephen to try?

It's rainy here so i didn't found any other specimen yet. Frown

But it could be a perfect exercise for you to compare your result Grin (if i found an other specimen, as i hope)
