Hello,
I'm looking for Gymnosoma species, especially G. inornatum, G. desertorum and G. brachypeltae,
but also G. acrosterni, G. carpocoridis and G. siculum
for the project "Revision of genus Gymnosoma (Diptera: Tachinidae) with using DNA analysis" (also with morphological revision).

Specimens determination can be doubtful (I'll try to verify this).

I can borrow specimens for this research (and return all specimens later) or offer exchange for some specimens of tachinids from Poland.

It sounds like a very useful project but (sadly) I don't have any of those very rare species. I wish you luck though and I look forward to hearing your results Smile

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
