Surely Condylostylus sp. different from http://bugguide.net/node/view/7472 The genus is most abundant in tropical America, with many species in Nearctics. I doubt that it is possible to ID species by photo. But some species have remarkable ornamentations on male legs! Igor. |

These are both in the group of species near Condylostylus sipho (6 North American species, 3 of them common). The first is a female and can't be identified further. The second might be a male C. scaber. Superficially your photos look darker than these species. I assume that is a result of comparing scans of old film to modern digital photos or eyeballs. |
