I photographed this small black fly with big red eyes today at Leerdam, Netherlands.
Mark van Veen thinks it is probably Pipunculidae. Could someone confirm that, or perhaps put a genus of even species name on it?

More like Platypezidae I think - going by the shape of the wings. Smile

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
