Hi, I found this small one today on a dead bat. It is about 1.3 mms long. It seems to be a chloropid???

Yes, is Chloropidae, and Oscinellinae! But I should be sure about Genus and also species, if I can!? I'll try, but maybe some people can ID that sooner! Smile
Sincerely yours
Sara

I think is Siphunculina, and maybe quinquangula. but my key about this species is old... Smile
So maybe better say Siphunculina sp.
Sincerely yours
Sara

Hi,I made a microphoto also. Is the sure determination impossible because of the old key or because some character are not visible on the photos?

Regards, Walter

Hi Walter

Great, That's really nice picture! Grin

But unfortunately I don't have, now, new key about this genus and just have an old key that included only 2 species!
Hopefully other guys can help to us! Smile

Good luck

Sincerely yours
Sara

Sara,

You might like to have at look at what the journal 'Revue suisse de Zoologie' are using as their 'Modèle pour le style'.
