Hi to all,


This weekend myself and Andrade went to the South in a dipterological exploration and we found several new things we together will share with you.

In 16th April 2011 we have found this amazing fly. with over 10 mm. A pity it escaped..

well, mistery solved! It was not fitted any description of Stratiomys (from Rozkhony) because it is indeed a spectacular CLITELLARIINAE - Pycnomalla splendens. Splendid this female! It was known for Spain and Portugal. A pity I did not collect this one.
