The picture was taken on one of the first warmer days (20C) this year, on a sunny stone wall in an urban graden, Stuttgart, Germany. I know the perspective is difficult ... Thanks for giving it a try anyway!

In my area flies that look like this -- faintly striped thorax, blue abdomen, and typical wing venation for Calliphoridae -- are Calliphorinae -- Cynomya[i] or [i]Calliphora. |
