I don't know nothing about Azian species.!!! But Hyporites has the r4+5 narrowed towards M1 in Anthomyiidae (Hennig, known from Tibet) Are you sure it is Anthomyiidae? sc looks like Azelia. Succes with this one. Joke Edited by javanerkelens on 16-01-2011 17:08 |

Joke! 1. As for Azelia - no, it is not, I'm sure. 2. As for Anthomyiid - I had doubts too. Due to strongly setulose sternite 1 and collection on cow dung I preliminary regarded the male as Gymnodia. Due to the pattern of scutum I preliminary idetified the female as Anthomyia. But examining the material not in field, but calmly in Moscow I found that male and female are conspecific and belongs to some strange genus of Anthomyiid. 3. Joke, check please, does Hennig mention setulose sternite 1 in Hyporites! Nikita Edited by Nikita Vikhrev on 16-01-2011 17:29 Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

Thank you, Joke. PDF hardly helped me ![]() Yes, costa with short setae from bace to sc, somewhat longer distally sc. Frons of male with 6 pairs of inclinate frontals in anterior part and small interfrontals. Hope to know an opinion of Michael or Verner... Michael Ackland kindly replied my request: Calythea limnophorina (Stein, 1915) I have to express my disagreement with Dr. Stein: "Calythea gymnodina" seems to me much better name! Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
