Hello, We have eight species listed of Elachiptera, four of those are featured in the gallery but none match this one, assuming it is Elachiptera! That leaves E. austriaca, megaspis, rufifrons, scrobiculata. http://www.dipter...p?id=14570 I'm wondering if anyone knows of one which has all black antennae which this one could be given the other features. 30th October, on a leaf overhanging water, my garden near Lincoln UK. Size ~2.5mm 2 pics + 1 crop Janet
