Well, this does look like nitidula, but the characters (tibial color for instance) are not clear in the photos. How does this look different?

Hmm, I thought this one was more brown where others have a greenish tinge.

The antennae also don't look quite the same, the ends don't look as dark but I also thought they were a different shape.

I got another shot of the face but it's not good, it does show some tibia colour though.

Here's one I got on 30th September

Comparing the antennae, the other one doesn't have a long bristle and it looks to have feathered bristles off the tip of the antennae. Those features can be seen in the crop I posted of the head from behind in the fly for ID.

Arrgh, now I can see those features in the other photos! awkward

(edited twice as I got that all muddled!)
